Tia Hudgins Taylor

Tia Hudgins Taylor was appointed as a District Court Judge in Judicial District 8 by Governor Josh Stein. Prior to her appointment, she was an associate attorney at Lassiter & Sperati, PLLC. She also served for nearly two years as an assistant district attorney in District 8. Her legal practice has covered civil and criminal matters, including real estate, criminal defense, family law, and estate planning. Taylor earned a Bachelor's degree in sport management from Queens University in Charlotte and a Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in 2018. At Elon Law, she was an Advocacy Fellow, a member of the Moot Court Board, and president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
