Tim Flock served in the United States Air National Guard from 1982 to 2010, retiring after 28 years. His roles included serving as a KC-135 boom operator, and he ultimately became the chief boom operator. After his military service, he joined Fire District 3 as a volunteer firefighter and advanced to the rank of Battalion Chief. He has previously served as a Park and Recreation Commissioner from 1989-1995 and was appointed to fill the Spokane County Fire District 3 Commissioner Position 2 in June 2025. He has also owned two small weekly newspapers, the Standard Register in Tekoa, Washington, and the Country Neighbor. He graduated from Mt. Eden High School in Hayward, California, in 1982.
