Tim Johnson

Tim Johnson was appointed to the Board of Fire Commissioners on March 31st, 2022. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania and New York, relocating to Whatcom County in 2004. He earned a BS in Biology from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, and an MS in Zoology from the University of Idaho. Johnson currently works as a Public and Government Affairs Director and has previous experience as an Environmental Team Leader and Site Remediation Program Manager. He has experience with the Incident Command System and serves on the refinery Emergency Management team as the Public Information Officer. He is also a board member for the Washington State Research Council and was involved with Habitat for Humanity of Whatcom County from 2012 to 2021.
