Tim Rudd, a Republican representing Tennessee House District 34, has served since 2016. Raised in Murfreesboro and Smyrna, he is a dedicated civic leader, having volunteered with numerous charities and held leadership roles in Rutherford County's Republican organizations, including past Chairman of the Rutherford Young Republican Club. A small business owner for over 30 years in marketing and direct mail, and a real estate agent, Rudd advocates for property rights, against excessive government regulation, and for teacher rights. His legislative focus includes protecting children from gender-affirming surgeries, banning ESG investments, restricting property ownership by foreign nationals, and advocating for school safety and senior issues, stemming from his experience as a caregiver for his elderly mother. He is currently running for re-election.
