Timothy McAuley has been a resident of Mount Gilead and has served the community in various capacities. He has been a Mount Gilead Town Commissioner since 2006 and the Mayor Pro Tem since 2014. His professional career includes being a Production Supervisor/Scheduler at Paperworks Industrial since 1994. He is also involved in several community organizations, including serving as the Highland Community Center President and being a member of the Mount Gilead Development Corporation. Additionally, he was appointed to the Montgomery Community College Board of Trustees by Governor Roy Cooper.
