With nearly three decades of experience in public education, he has served as chair of the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association's Human and Civil Rights Committee. In 2022, the Florida Education Association honored him with its Human and Civil Rights Leadership Award. His campaign focuses on public education, affordable housing, healthcare, and environmental justice.
