Timothy Rooks

Timothy Rooks was appointed to the Superior Court for Judicial District 36 in September 2025 to fill a vacancy. He has over three decades of legal experience. Since 2000, he has operated his own private practice, the Law Office of Timothy J. Rooks, in Morganton, NC. His practice areas include family law, criminal defense, construction litigation, and personal injury. Previously, he was an Associate Attorney in the Construction Litigation Department at Boose, Casey, Ciklin et al. in West Palm Beach, Florida. Rooks is also a Certified Family Financial Mediator. He earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Drew University.
