Timothy Settlemyre is a lifelong resident of Catawba County and a graduate of Bunker Hill High School. After high school, he joined the Navy and is a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He earned an Associate's Degree in Automotive Systems Technology, a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University, and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Appalachian State University. He was first elected to the Board of Education in 2022. He currently works for the City of Charlotte as a Fleet Technical Analyst and Global Security Administrator.
