Tina L. Orwall was appointed to the Washington State Senate in December 2024 to fill the vacant District 33 seat. Prior to her appointment, she served in the Washington House of Representatives, representing the same district, since 2009. Before her legislative career, Orwall worked for over 20 years in the public mental health system and as a social worker. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work in Administration from the University of Washington. She lives in Des Moines with her family.
