Is this you? Claim this profileTobias "Toby" Hampson is an incumbent judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, having been elected in 2018 for a term ending in 2026. He grew up in Moore County and is a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He earned his B.A. with honors from American University and his Juris Doctor with honors from Campbell University School of Law in 2002. Before his election, Judge Hampson was a partner at the Raleigh law firm Wyrick, Robbins, Yates & Ponton, where he led the firm's Appellate Practice group. He is a North Carolina State Bar certified specialist in Appellate Practice. He began his legal career as a law clerk for three judges at the North Carolina Court of Appeals: K. Edward Greene, Wanda Bryant, and Bob C. Hunter.
