Todd Lakey is an Idaho State Senator representing District 23. A Republican, he was born in Portland, Oregon, and holds degrees from Brigham Young University and Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law. His career includes serving as a Canyon County deputy prosecutor and commissioner, and he owns a law office. A retired U.S. Army Reserve officer, Lakey has served in the Idaho Senate since 2012, moving to District 23 in 2022. Currently in his sixth term, he chairs the Judiciary & Rules Committee and is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary. He is married with five children and five grandchildren.
