Tom Determann is an American politician and retired businessman who represents District 69 in the Iowa House of Representatives. A Republican, he assumed office in January 2023 and is running for re-election in the 2026 primary. Born in 1950 in Clinton, Iowa, he was raised in Clinton and Camanche. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering and served in the United States Army. Before his political career, he was president of Determann Industries Inc. He currently serves on the Commerce, Economic Growth and Technology, Local Government, and Veterans Affairs committees, where he chairs the latter. He also holds a position on the Appropriations Subcommittee Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals.
