Tom McClintock is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 5th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to Congress in 2008 and assumed office in 2009, previously representing the 4th district. Before his tenure in the U.S. House, McClintock served in the California State Assembly from 1982 to 1992 and 1996 to 2000, and the California State Senate from 2000 to 2008. He is currently running for re-election in 2026.
