Tony Bisignano is an incumbent Democratic State Senator for Iowa's District 15, serving his third consecutive term representing south-central Des Moines. He first held a seat in the Iowa Senate from 1993 to 1997, after serving in the Iowa House, and returned to the Senate in 2015. A lifelong Des Moines resident, he had a 41-year career with Polk County in various roles, including Human Resources director, and was a union president. Senator Bisignano is the ranking member on the Government Oversight and Ways and Means committees. He is seeking re-election in the Democratic primary on June 2, 2026.
