Tony Wisniewski is the Republican incumbent representing Idaho House District 5B, covering part of Post Falls in Kootenai County. A retired manufacturing engineer and small business owner, he was first elected in 2018 and is currently serving his third term in the Idaho Legislature. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah. Wisniewski serves as Vice Chair of the House Commerce and Human Resources Committee, and also sits on the Education, and Environment, Energy and Technology committees. He advocates for the vigorous defense of life, repealing Common Core in education while expanding vocational options, invigorating the economy, eliminating unnecessary regulations, defending the Second Amendment, and removing government interference in healthcare. He is seeking re-election in the May 2026 primary.
