Toshiko Grace Hasegawa is a fourth-generation Japanese American and a lifelong resident of Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood. She was elected to the Port Commission in 2021. In 2018, Governor Jay Inslee appointed her as the Executive Director of Washington State's Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA). Her prior experience includes working as a communications manager at King County's Office of Law Enforcement Oversight and in the office of King County Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles, focusing on issues of human labor trafficking. She holds a Master's degree from Seattle University. She is the principal of Yonsei Consulting, a minority, woman-owned business.
