Tram Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American attorney and Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives for the 18th Essex District (Andover, Boxford, North Andover, and Tewksbury), first elected in 2018. She and her family fled Vietnam as political refugees when she was five years old. A first-generation college graduate, she earned a B.A. from Tufts University, a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and an M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School. Before entering office she was a staff attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she led the Civil Legal Assistance for Victims of Crime program. She lives in Andover, Massachusetts.
