Trevonia "BG" Brown-Gaither is an incumbent member of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools school board, representing District 1. She assumed office on January 5, 2023. A native of Winston-Salem, she graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and attended Spelman College and North Carolina A&T State University. Brown-Gaither has over 19 years of experience as a mathematics teacher in the district's middle and high schools. She is the niece of Geneva Brown, who served on the school board for over 18 years. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Education.
