Tricia Farley-Bouvier is a lifelong Pittsfield resident who was first elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in a 2011 special election. A graduate of Pittsfield High School, she earned a bachelor's degree in special and elementary education from Salve Regina University and a master's degree in education from the University of Connecticut. Since January 2023 she has represented the 2nd Berkshire District, covering the entire city of Pittsfield, and serves as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity.

As House Chair of the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity, Farley-Bouvier sponsors the FAIR Act to protect workers from AI and electronic monitoring and the Massachusetts Consumer Data Privacy Act to strengthen consumer data protections.
