Trish Carter-Goodheart

Trish Carter-Goodheart is a Democratic candidate for Idaho House District 6A, a 40-year-old Nez Perce Tribe member raised in Lapwai. As a community fundraiser and grantwriter, also serving on the National Indian Child Welfare Association board, she advocates for rural families. Her platform prioritizes protecting public lands, sustainable agriculture, and saving rural healthcare. She supports early childhood education, living wages, and increased public school funding. Carter-Goodheart also focuses on improving broadband, addressing water insecurity, fighting inflation, and enhancing accessibility for people with disabilities, including removing income barriers. She is a challenger for an open seat in 2026, having previously run in 2022 and won her primary in 2024.
