Troy McGhie is a longtime educator with the New York City Department of Education and a high school basketball coach. A lifelong resident of the North Shore of Staten Island, McGhie previously served as a community liaison for the City Council District, working under former City Council Member Debi Rose. He is running as a Democratic candidate to represent New York's 11th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
