Tya Mathis-Coleman

Tya Mathis-Coleman, a Las Vegas native, holds a Doctorate in Public Policy and a background in education and public administration. She currently serves as Nevada's Deputy Treasurer of College Savings, where she has overseen the state's 529 plan, student loan programs, and the Millennium Scholarship for over six years. Her career also includes nearly five years leading recruitment efforts for the Clark County School District. Mathis-Coleman is running for State Treasurer to ensure stable financing for Nevada, prioritize people over politics, expand educational opportunities, and secure the long-term solvency of the Millennium Scholarship. She is endorsed by current State Treasurer Zach Conine.
