Tyler J Harper is Georgia’s 17th Agriculture Commissioner, a 7th generation farmer, small businessman, and pilot. A lifelong resident of rural South Georgia, he champions the state’s #1 industry and its farm families. As Commissioner since 2023, he focuses on ensuring food security, strengthening safety protocols, and expanding internet access to rural communities. He previously served as a State Senator for District 7 from 2012-2022. He grows peanuts, cotton, and timber, and runs a cow-calf operation on his family's land in Irwin County. Harper is an avid hunter, musician, and proud uncle.
