Tyson Johnston is the 4th Councilperson of the Quinault Indian Nation (QIN) and serves as an Ex Officio Board Member of Toptana Technologies. He has held several leadership positions within the Quinault Business Committee, including Chairperson of Natural Resources. Johnston has a background in government relations and has worked on issues such as climate change, resource conservation, and the digital divide. He previously served as Vice President of the QIN, where he led advocacy initiatives and worked on reforming the tribe's criminal justice system. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Indian Studies and Political Science from the University of Washington and is a lifelong resident of Taholah, WA. He is also a current director on the Taholah School Board.
