Vanessa J Summers

Vanessa J. Summers is the incumbent State Representative for Indiana House District 99, a position she has held since 1991. In 2012, she made history as the first female and first African American to serve as the Indiana House Democratic Caucus Chair. She serves as the ranking minority member of the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee. Outside of her legislative duties, Summers is a Public Policy Associate for the Indiana Minority Health Coalition.
