Verna Seal has been a Tukwila resident for nearly 30 years. She was appointed to the City Council in March 2025 to fill a vacancy and previously served on the council from 2006 to 2021. Professionally, she is a Senior Paralegal specializing in immigration matters. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and an Advanced Certificate in International Law and Legal Studies from Northeastern University. Her extensive community service includes roles on the Tukwila Arts Commission, Tukwila Library Advisory Board, and the King County Library System Board of Trustees.
