Veronica Turner is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 26. Her extensive legislative career began with her initial election to the House of Delegates in 2002, where she served until 2015. Following an unsuccessful campaign for the Maryland Senate in 2014, Turner was successfully re-elected to the House of Delegates in 2018 and began her current term in January 2019. Throughout her tenure, she has held positions on key committees, including the Economic Matters Committee and the Ways and Means Committee. Prior to her career in public service, Turner worked as a clinical specialist and analyst at Prince George's Hospital Center and served as the president of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 63.
