Vichal Kumar is a public defender, civil rights attorney, and candidate for the U.S. House in New York's 7th Congressional District. The son of working-class Indian immigrants, Kumar has over two decades of legal experience, beginning his career at The Bronx Defenders. He has focused on advocating for tenants facing eviction, low-income New Yorkers, and immigrant families. Additionally, he previously served as the president of the South Asian Bar Association (SABA).
