Vicki Lopez is the Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 5, appointed in November 2025 [4.2]. She previously represented District 113 in the Florida House of Representatives from 2022 until vacating the seat for her county role. Earlier in her career, Lopez served on the Lee County Commission from 1990 to 1993. She has also worked as a prominent advocate for criminal justice reform. Lopez holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
