Vicky Frausto is a member of the Sunnyside City Council, serving her first term as of January 2024. She was born and raised in Sunnyside and is a first-generation daughter of immigrants. Frausto graduated from Sunnyside High School in 2009, earned an Associate of Arts from Yakima Valley Community College, a double Bachelor's degree in Political Science and American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington, and a Master's in Public Administration and Governance from Seattle University. Her professional experience includes six years in Labor Relations and Professional Organizational Development at the University of Washington Human Resources. She is also involved in the Sunnyside School District's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the Lion's Club, and the Sunnyside Development Corporation.
