An engineer by training, he immigrated to the United States from India with his parents nearly two decades ago, living in New York, Connecticut, and Texas before moving to Forks in 2011 to purchase the Town Motel with his father. He became a U.S. citizen and was sworn into City Council Position 1 in May 2025, filling a seat vacated by a previous council member.
