Vishal Bhargava was appointed to the Bellevue City Council in April 2025 to fill a vacated seat. He has been a member of Bellevue's Planning Commission since 2020 and is an executive at Amazon with over a decade of experience in urban planning and technology leadership. He co-founded a mental health advocacy organization, the Beautiful Minds Foundation, in 2021. Bhargava holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a master's in urban planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
