Vishal Bhargava was appointed to the City Council in May 2025 to fill a vacated seat. He has been a member of Bellevue's Planning Commission since 2020 and has over a decade of experience in urban planning and technology leadership. He is a Director of Product Management at Amazon and co-founded a mental health advocacy organization, the Beautiful Minds Foundation. Bhargava holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a master's in urban planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
