Wanda Brownlee Paige is an incumbent Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing District 35. She assumed office on October 4, 2024, having been appointed by the Wyandotte County Democrats to fill a vacancy following the death of her predecessor. Before her legislative service, Paige dedicated 30 years to education as a social studies teacher in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, retiring in 2012. She also previously served as an at-large member of the Kansas City Public Schools board. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, she holds a master's degree in teaching social studies. She is now seeking re-election in the Democratic primary for her House seat on August 4, 2026.
