Wayne D. Fontana is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 42nd District since 2005. Born and raised in the Beechview section of Pittsburgh, he graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County. Prior to his election to the State Senate, he worked as a real estate agent and served as an original member of the Allegheny County Council from 2000 to 2005. He serves as the Democratic Chair of the Senate Law & Justice Committee.
