Wendy Maynard

Wendy Maynard was born in Union County in 1974. She began her career in 1995 at the Clerk of Superior Court's Office in Charlotte, working as a deputy clerk in the Civil Department. She has served the state of North Carolina for over 26 years, with 25 of those years dedicated to Union County. She is married to Greg Maynard and they have one daughter. Maynard and her family are members of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she has been involved with the youth program for over nine years. In December 2024, as the current Clerk of Superior Court, she administered the oath of office to new County Commissioners. She also serves on the 2024-25 executive committee for the North Carolina Conference of Clerks of Superior Court.
