William Aslett

William "Bill" Aslett was born in southern Idaho and later graduated from Highline College and Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He moved to Burlington in 1986. His professional career includes managing stores for a drugstore chain and serving as a National Account Manager for an international healthcare company. His public service in Burlington began in 1999 with an appointment to the City Council, and he was subsequently elected to the council seven times before becoming mayor. Aslett has been deeply involved in the community for decades, serving as a youth sports coach, a board member for the United Way of Skagit County and the Western Washington Alumni Association, and currently as a Community Board Director for PeaceHealth-United General.
