William "Bill" Scott is a Democratic candidate for the New Mexico House of Representatives, District 22, in the 2026 Primary Election. He brings a background of dedicated service, having served as a military officer in the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2021. Scott is an alumnus of New Mexico State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 2003, and Vanderbilt University, from which he holds a graduate degree obtained in 2013. He also completed his high school education at Highland High School. Scott is seeking to represent his district in the state legislature, where no incumbent currently holds the seat.
