William "Bill" Clyburn is a veteran legislator serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 82, a position he has held since 1994. A member of the Democratic Party, he is seeking re-election in the 2026 South Carolina Primary Election. Clyburn brings a background as a public relations consultant, and prior experience as a school principal, as well as serving on both the Aiken City and Aiken County Councils. He champions education, rural development, and job creation in the statehouse. He holds a B.S. from Allen University and an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina.
