William H. "Bill" Morris is a U.S. Army veteran, a former deputy sheriff, and the retired Erwin Police Chief. He has previously served as chairman of both the Harnett County Board of Commissioners and the School Board. He also operates Black River Automotive in Erwin and is a local farmer. He and his wife, Genia, have been married for 35 years and have two adult children.
