William Harris is a candidate for Town of Fuquay-Varina Mayor in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina — 2025 General Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

William H. Harris has over three decades of experience as an elected official in Fuquay-Varina. He graduated from Fuquay Consolidated High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master's in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. During his tenure as a Town Commissioner, he has served as Mayor Pro Tem, Chairman of the Law and Finance Committee, and Chairman of the Public Works Committee. Harris retired in 2020 from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Shaw University in the Public Administration Department. In April 2023, he was elected to serve as President of the North Carolina League of Municipalities for the 2023-2024 cycle.
