William J. Wivell is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 2A. His legislative service began with an appointment in March 2015, and he has since been re-elected. Before joining the legislature, Wivell served on the Washington County Board of Commissioners from 1998 to 2010 and again from 2014 to 2015. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on June 9, 1964, Wivell holds three academic degrees: an Associate of Arts from Hagerstown Community College, a Bachelor of Arts from Shepherd University, and a Master of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary's University.
