William V. Nichols, a Democrat, has served on the Dorchester County Council representing District 2 since 2002. Throughout his tenure, he has held leadership roles, including Council President and Vice-President. His public service also includes positions on the Board of Estimates, Board of Health, and the Roads Board for Dorchester County. Prior to his time on the County Council, he was a member of the Board of County Commissioners for District 2 from 1994 to 2002. Born in Cambridge, Maryland, Nichols attended Cambridge High School and has been employed by the Maryland Wire Belts Company.
