Willie Rowe

Willie Rowe is the incumbent Wake County Sheriff, having assumed office on December 5, 2022. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1978 to 1985. Rowe had a 28-year career with the Wake County Sheriff's Office, starting as a deputy in 1985 and retiring as a Major in 2013. During his tenure, he served in various divisions, including Patrol, Criminal Investigations, and Special Operations. He is a graduate of Garner Senior High School and has completed numerous professional development programs, including the NCSU Administrative Officer's Management Program. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Rowe has been actively involved in community organizations, addressing issues like affordable housing and mentoring at-risk youth.
