Yolanda Trout has served on the Auburn City Council since 2014. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to migrant farm workers, she moved to Washington at age three. She graduated from Walla Walla Community College with a degree in early learning and ran a bilingual childcare center for 13 years before moving to Auburn. She serves in leadership roles with the Sound Cities Association, the National League of Cities' Hispanic Elected Local Officials (HELO) organization, and the King County Domestic Violence Initiative Regional Task Force.
