Young Kim is a current U.S. Representative for California's 40th Congressional District. Born in South Korea, Kim grew up in Guam and Hawaii before earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. Before her election to Congress, she worked as a financial analyst, controller, and staffer for former U.S. Rep. Ed Royce. She also served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. She is one of the first Korean-American women to serve in Congress.
