Zach Sokoloff is a candidate for Los Angeles City Controller. A Los Angeles native, he holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University, a master's in education policy from Loyola Marymount University, and a JD/MBA from Harvard University. Early in his career, he worked as a public school teacher in Boyle Heights and Watts. Since 2018, Sokoloff has worked as the senior vice president of asset management at Hackman Capital Partners. He currently resides in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
