Zack Zappone is a candidate for Spokane City Council District 3, Position 2 in Spokane, Washington — 2025 General Election. Running as Nonpartisan (Democratic Party).

Zack Zappone is an incumbent member of the Spokane City Council, first elected in 2021, and was the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the council. He was born and raised in Spokane, graduating from North Central High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and a master's in public affairs from Princeton University. His career experience includes working as a public school teacher in both Kennewick and Spokane, and he was a Fulbright English teaching fellow at Columbia University. He currently teaches part-time at North Central High School while serving on the council. Zappone has served on the boards of the Spokane Transit Authority and the Association of Washington Cities.
