Agua Fria Union High School District Board of Education

My top three issues are the following:

1. Fiscal responsibility - treat every district dollar as a family's money: prioritize classrooms, subject spending to independent review, and account for existing resources before asking taxpayers for more.

2. Transparency - expand public access to detailed district spending documents, in plain terms, without requiring a public-records request to understand them.

3. Parental choice - compete by providing better service so families choose Agua Fria schools, rather than narrowing families' options.

Born and raised in Peoria, with family in the Agua Fria district since the early 2000s. I earned an accounting degree from Grand Canyon University and built a career in public accounting and healthcare private equity while working toward my CPA license. I am founder and managing partner of Canny Capital Partners, an Arizona-focused investment firm in Phoenix, and I run a high-level M&A & tax advisory firm serving local businesses. Reading budgets and scrutinizing financial statements is my day job - I want to bring that skill set to the Agua Fria board.
