Abraham Aiyash is an American politician and a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives, where he served from 2020 to 2024 and became the first Arab American to hold the position of majority floor leader. The son of Yemeni immigrants, he earned a bachelor's degree in political theory and constitutional democracy from Michigan State University. He previously worked as a community organizer and nonprofit founder. Aiyash is a Democratic candidate for Michigan State Senate District 1.
